With over 2700 km of coastline, Thailand offers a wealth of beaches, dive spots, and resorts.
Here, life is more laid back than in Bangkok, and relaxing on the beach, snorkeling over a coral reef, or enjoying a tropical drink at a resort bar or restored colonial restaurant may be the most arduous task of the day.
Thousands of people learn to dive in Thailand’s warm waters every year, and it remains the most popular water sport in the country.
Sea culture is divided between the Andaman Sea, west of the Malay Peninsula, and the Gulf of Thailand, to the east.
Visibility is best in the Andaman Sea from October through April, and best in the Gulf from May through September.
We advise you to plan your dive trip accordingly.
Here are some of the better known spots that form the sand and sea picture in Thailand.
We’ll give you a brief overview, and some ideas for snorkeling/diving and destination spas and resorts as well.
